Amino Acid Profiling
Cultivator Phyto Lab provides world-class testing services for amino acid profiling to producer, manufacturers, and companies. Amino Acid Analysis/ Amino Acid Profiling is the process of determining amino acid content, protein, or peptide content in food or beverage product. This testing provides a quantitative analysis of overall protein as well as total amino acid present in the sample. The amino acids are primarily composed of Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen & nitrogen. Amino acids are crucial components of human & animal diet. Some of the essential amino acids aren’t produced naturally in the body and therefore their consumption via food sources is considered important for health and life sustenance.
Cultivator Phyto Lab is India’s leading state-of-the-art laboratory with the advanced instruments to test the complete amino acid profile for products. Our precise, detailed, and timebound testing facility helps manufacturers in complying with national and international standards.
Broadly speaking, amino acids can be categorized into 2 groups:
Essential Amino Acids: – Those which cannot be produced in the body and must therefore be obtained from food sources. The method used for this type of amino acid testing is called “Total amino acid analysis”. This method quantifies the amino acids present in proteins, both bound and unbound. With help of this analysis, we can quantify the following acids:
- histidine
- isoleucine
- leucine
- lysine
- methionine
- phenylalanine
- threonine
- tryptophan
- valine
Non-Essential Amino Acids: -These amino acids are synthesized in the human body, so they don’t need to be obtained through the diet. The method used for their testing is termed “Free Amino Acid Analysis”. This method quantifies amino acids that are not bound to proteins. Under this, we quantify the following amino acids:
- alanine
- arginine
- asparagine
- aspartic acid
- cysteine
- glutamic acid
- glutamine
- glycine
- proline
- serine and
- tyrosine
Cultivator Phyto Lab is a leading provider of amino acid analysis/profiling services and can quickly and accurately determine the presence of both free amino acids and bound peptides in food samples. We follow global standard methods for analysing these substances coupled with world-class technologies like liquid chromatography, tandem mass spectrometry, etc.
